On this, my 34th birthday, I may not know as much as some, but of this one thing I am absolutely certain…HE is ALL that I need!

Inside there is silence. The children and husband sleep soundly in their beds.
Outside the world begins to stir. Trees sway left to right waking their extremities. Birds stretch wings and harmonize with neighbors in good morning songs. Squirrels scurry to and fro. Rabbits nibble on blades of grass. Deer forage through woods beyond.
And the sun…it rises. Rays of brilliant gold, glistening yellow, and burnt orange burst forth from the once sleeping horizon.
A lush over-sized crimson sofa welcomes me as I snuggle deeply in. Breathing in and exhaling long I am always reminded of the Blood as I situate my frame for this early morning time.
Bible in hand, I open to the book of John. And I read,
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ‘I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.’ ” John 8:12, NKJV
He IS the light. This I know.
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36, NKJV
He IS freedom. This I know.
“Jesus said to them, ‘Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.’ ” John 8:58, NKJV
He IS the I AM of all that I am not. This I know.
“I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:9 & 10, NKJV
He IS the door to abundant living. This I know.
The warmth from the rising sun penetrates the window and rests on my back as I immerse myself deeper in. And I feel Him, the Son. The Light. The Freedom Giver. The I AM. The Door. And He welcomes me into His presence.
And I accept His invitation.
Breathing in and exhaling long I see Him. Crystal clear. Shining before me. Shining on me. Shining forth from the pages of the Living and Active Word; the Word that is He.
Engulfed by His warmth, encompassed by His blood, illuminated by His Light, I know Him more today than yesterday. Of this I am certain.
